LONDON: On the second day of his official visit to London, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday met UK Lord Chancellor and Minister of Justice Shabana Mahmood — the first Muslim woman to hold the office.

During the meeting, Mr Dar congratulated her on the achievement, calling it a source of pride for all Pakistanis. Lord Chancellor Mahmood, in response, expressed gratitude for Mr Dar’s warm wishes and highlighted the important role British-Pakistanis play in fostering strong relations between the two countries.

At a separate event, Mr Dar met Commonwealth middleweight champion boxer Hamza Sheeraz at the Pakistan High Commission in London.
