SAHIWAL: The FIA cyber crime wing, Faisalabad, has arrested a mobile shop owner for blackmailing and coercing two sisters from Faisalabad into developing relations with him.

According to reports, Ghulam Dastagir Khan, owner of a mobile shop in Parnami Mohalla, has been charged under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) 109, 201, and the Peca Act-2016 (Sections 20, 21, 22, and 24).

A woman of Hajwari Town, Faisalabad, came into contact with Dastagir through a social media platform. A friendship developed, during which the woman shared personal photographs with him. Soon after, Dastagir began blackmailing her using the photographs. He demanded that she and her younger sister engaged in relations with him.

Even though the women tried to distance themselves from the situation, threats persisted. To counter the situation, the family filed a complaint with the cyber crime wing, which after investigation, arrested the suspect. The suspect confessed to the crime and objectionable material was deleted from his accounts and phone.

SUSPENDED: District Police Officer Faisal Shahzad has suspended station house officers Kashif Ali, of Kameer, and Khalid Bashir Kamyana, of Bahadur Shah, for multiple charges.
