LAKKI MARWAT: The office-bearers of Bannu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and local elders have asked the police and district authorities to ensure recovery of a government official Taj Mali Khan within 24 hours otherwise they would launch an agitation.

Speaking at a press conference in the press club here on Saturday, the chamber’s senior vice president Nasir Khan Bangash, an elder Jamshed Khan and others said that unknown persons came to the house of Taj Mali Khan, Sub-Registrar of the Land Revenue Department the other day and took him away with them in a motorcar.

They said that the official was having posting in Peshawar and he had returned to home in Bannu city. The family members of the official said that the incident occurred in broad daylight and the local police had denied conducting any raid on missing official’s house.
