KHUZDAR: Two brothers were shot dead by unknown assailants in a village in the Kalat area, Levies officials confirmed on Saturday.

According to the officials, Muhammad Ismail Lehri and Muhammad Abbas Lehri were attacked by unidentified gunmen in the Zawah Shesha Daghar area of Kalat on Friday night. Both men, who worked alongside their father as watchmen at a local fruit orchard, were killed at the scene.

Levies personnel shifted the bodies to Kalat District Hospital, where medical staff confirmed that both victims had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, resulting in their immediate death.

The motive behind the killings remains unknown and no arrests were reported until Saturday night. An investigation into the incident is underway.
