SWABI: the district administration, in a crackdown against quacks, sealed seven clinics here on Sunday.

Assistant Commissioner Tehsil Topi Dr Usman Khan along with staff of health department conducted the campaign against quacks who defamed the noble medical profession.

Dr Usman said that the action against Atai doctors would continue unabated and the people should cooperate with the district administration to eradicate this menace.

When contacted the health officials said that the crackdown was conducted to ensure public safety and to punish those who cheat the ailing community and indulged in illegal treatment practices.

Strict legal action will be taken against the quacks and no concession will be made with anyone this regard, they said.

The seven sealed clinic in Hajiabad and Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate were: Yasir Clinic, Jamshed Clinic near China Steel Mill, Noor Abbas Clinic, Abdul Rahman Clinic, Amjad Jadoon clinic, Junaid clinic and Shaukat Clinic.

The officials said that public is requested to identify such illegal clinics and fake doctors to ensure protecting the health and safety of the locals, considering the people support very important.
