GUJRAT: The Gujranwala police have detained the driver of a college van in connection with the mysterious killing of a 17-year-old girl student at Qila Deedar Singh.

Faizan Bibi of Abbaspura Mohallah told police that had hired a van for her daughter Aden Sattar, a first year student at a private college.

On Saturday, her daughter left home in the same van in the morning but after a couple of hours, the college management called her to ask about the reason for her daughter’s absence.

She told the college that Aden had left for the college. After that, she and her family launched a search and found that Aden was shifted to Rural Health Centre Qila Deedar Singh in a very poor condition by the van driver Afzal Malik and two other men, including Abdul Waheed Rehmani.

Bibi said her daughter had told her that the suspects had given her some intoxicant in drink and she lost her senses. Later, she died at the RHC.

Police said they had registered a case against

two nominated and one unidentified suspects on

the murder charge on the report of the girl’s mother. They said the van driver had been arrested for interrogation.
