LAHORE: Two robbers snatched Rs20 million in cash from two employees of a godown in Misri Shah on Monday. The robbery incident occurred at 9:45am when godown employees Munawwar and Ghulam Husain were going to deposit the money into a local bank by a motorbike.

They told police that they were intercepted by two armed men near Baraf Khana Chowk. The masked robbers snatched the bag carrying cash and fled towards the Ring Road.The Misri Shah police reached the site, investigated the matter and registered a case against.

It was the second major robbery incident reported during the last few days in the provincial capital.

Earlier on Sept 9, the armed men had taken away Rs13.2m from a jeweller, Mohammad Umar, at Kalma Chowk.
