SWABI: A twelve-year-old orphan boy was strangled to death while a man allegedly killed his nephew in different incidents here on Monday.

The deceased boy Mohammad Kahsif hailed from Zerobi village, tehsil Topi, in the jurisdiction of city police station. His dead body was recovered from bushes near government high school Zarobi.

A police officer told Dawn that the cause of the incident was not yet known and they were investigating the killing.

In another incident, a man allegedly killed his young nephew over a property dispute in Manki, Tehsil Chota Lahor, said members of the deceased’s family.

Sher Aslam, while filing an FIR in Lahor city police station, said that he, along with his sons Amanullah and Mujeebullah, was present in their house in Shagai area when his brother Umar Khattab started arguments with them and resorted to firing which resulted in the instant death of his 21-year-old son Amanullah.

After the incident, the accused fled from the crime scene. The police registered an FIR and started investigation.

Meanwhile, two robbers were nabbed by youth and one escaped to the mountains in Sokeeli village, said the locals.
