RAWALPINDI: For the first time in the history of City Traffic Police Rawalpindi, senior lady traffic wardens have been appointed as additional circle officers in four different circles.

New responsibilities of Additional Circle Officer were assigned in, Cantt, Mehrabad, Civil Lines and Adiala Circle.

The purpose of posting the senior lady traffic wardens was to empower women traffic officers as well as to utilise their skills.

CTO Beenish Fatima said that the women have always performed admirably and are not behind males in any field of life. The intention behind this appointment was to enable female senior traffic wardens to play their role in traffic management.

The CTO while talking to the newly appointed additional lady circle officers said the new appointment requires you to carry out your job honestly and in a good manner in the best interest of people.

In the end, he said the newly appointed additional circle officers should play their role in traffic management.
