KARACHI: A huge explosion took place in a drain due to accumulation of gases, which triggered fear among people and damaged some property near New Subzi Mandi on Monday.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
Site Superhighway Industrial Area SHO Shahzada Ilyas said the nullah was fully covered and gases had accumulated there, which apparently caused the blast that partially damaged a bike and car parked there.
Three persons suffered minor injuries in another explosion that took place inside a chemical factory in an industrial area during some work, the officer said.
