LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari alleges that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House has become a haven for terrorists.

“KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been issuing threats and using the language of terrorists, which is unacceptable. There should not be a conflict among provinces. Punjab has always played the role of an elder brother,” she said in a talk with journalists here on Tuesday.

Talking about her case of fake video in Lahore High Court, she said: “My case is not a person specific or political, it’s the case of all women who are affected by social media. The FIA’s capacity has proven insufficient, as they could not delete even a single fake video. If an app cannot be managed, the FIA should be shut down,” she said.

She criticised the FIA for claiming it wrote to Facebook but received no response, suggesting that any institution failing to respond in Pakistan should be held accountable.

She said that while social media apps around the world operated under laws and regulations, the situation in Pakistan was different, where anyone could say anything without consequences.

Ms Bokhari requested the Peshawar High Court chief justice to take action against the terrorists and troublemakers hiding in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House. She said the people hiding in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House were not serving the state of Pakistan but mocking it instead.
