MUZAFFARGARH: Alipur Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Mujtaba Khan Baloch sentenced on Tuesday Saghir, the main accused in an acid attack case, to death and imposed a fine of Rs500,000.

Saghir was found guilty of throwing acid on a man named Aslam in an incident two years ago. The attack, which occurred in Alipur and was registered under case No 212/22 at the Khairpur Sadat police station, resulted in Aslam’s death from his injuries.

After hearing the arguments from both sides, the court sentenced Saghir to death.

Meanwhile, the second accused in the case, Irfan, was acquitted by the judge on the basis of the benefit of the doubt.
