SUKKUR: The Jacob-abad district and sessions judge has taken notice of an incident in which a female polio worker was robbed at gunpoint when she was administering polio drops to children during ongoing campaign in Allah Bakhsh Jakhrani village a day ago.

The judge, Syed Sharaf-uddin Shah, also ordered SSP Sumair Noor Channa and other officials concerned to appear in court on Sept 13 with a detailed report on the robbery from polio worker Ms Abida Unnar.

Meanwhile, Ms Unnar registered a case against the detained suspect Ahmed Jakhrani on changes of robbery and attempt to murder at Mauladad police station on Thursday.

Workers of Pakistan People’s Party-Shaheed Bhu-tto staged a rally in Jacob-abad to demand justice for the traumatised polio wor-ker.
