BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) has announced reduction in fees for various programmes at its three sub-campuses in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.

According to a press release, the decision of the fee reduction has been taken to lessen the financial burden on the students in view of the current difficult economic conditions in the country.

The fees have been considerably decreased semester-wise.

At Bahawalpur Campus, the fees for the first and second semesters of BS Public Policy and Governance, Gender Studies, Political and Parliamentary Studies, Political Science, Education Training, Marketing and International Business Programme, Saraiki and Pakistan Studies have been fixed at Rs25,000 per semester, which will be increased by Rs5000 per semester (annually).

Fees for MS Seraiki, Faculty of Computer Science MS programs and BS Forensic Science have been reduced by 20 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Islamia University Bahawalpur announced that the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has accorded accreditation to its faculty of engineering and technology for BS Electronics Engineering batch 2020, 2021 and 2022 and BS Telecommunication Engineering batch 2020, 2021 and 2022.
