RAWALPINDI: Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique assured more funds to Holy family Hospital as the revamping project cost further escalated to Rs600 million.

“After hospital become functional, there is a need to install separate electricity line, transformers and more gadgets to provide uninterrupted electricity supply,” said a senior official of HFH.

He said that the revised PC-I will be sent to Planning and Development Board and after getting approval, the funds will be released for the work.

Meanwhile, the provincial minister said that patients should not face any difficulty in government hospitals and doctors should not spare any effort in the treatment of patients in government hospitals.

During his visit to the garrison city, the provincial minister visited the emergency, operation theatres, dengue wards and other departments at Holy Family Hospital and Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH).

On this occasion, Rawalpindi Medical University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Umer and HFH Medical Superintendent Dr Ijaz Butt gave briefing to the health minister.
