GUJAR KHAN: Armed men looted gold ornaments and cash valuing about Rs20 million from a house in the jurisdiction of Gujar Khan police station.

According to police sources, Arshad Hussain, a resident of Noor Ali Chowk, reported to the police post Qazian that his three brothers were working in Spain while their family members were residing in Gujar Khan. He said that at midnight on Thursday a gang of armed men barged into their house and held up the inmates at gunpoint. The robbers looted gold ornaments and foreign and local currency and fled.

On showing resistance, the robbers beat up the family members and injured and Arshad Hussain who was shifted to hospital with serious head injuries.

When contacted, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Zahid said so far there was no success in tracing the outlaws.
