DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The police recovered the bodies of three alleged militants from a house in Pandrah Meel area here.

An official said on Saturday that the Yarik police station SHO Faheem Mumtaz received information that three bodies were lying in a house owned by one Sheikh Abdul Wali Wazir in the Pandrah Meel area.

He said that when the police reached the spot, they found the bodies lying in a pool of blood inside the house.

The deceased were stated to be the members of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

The police also recovered a Kalashnikov with three spare magazines, a 12-bore repeater with a spare magazine and three mobile phone sets from the spot.

The police took the bodies into their custody and started an investigation.

Meanwhile, seven people were killed and 21 others injured when a passenger bus coming from Quetta to Dera Ismail Khan fell into a ditch in Danasar area, a Rescue 1122 official said on Saturday.

The official said that the bus skidded off the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Balochistan Inter-Provincial Highway in the Danasar area and fell into a ditch.

As a result, six passengers and the bus driver were killed, and 21 others were injured.

Rescue teams shifted the deceased and the injured persons to a hospital in Zhob.
