• Teenagers shoot 13-year-old
• Minor slain after rape

GUJRAT: Six people, including a minor, were murdered in Gujranwala in three incidents.

A man, in connivance with his accomplices, gunned down his two brothers and as many cousins over a property dispute in the Iqbal Town locality of Gujranwala Cantonment police area.

Shahid and his 15 accomplices barged into the house of his brothers, Ahmed and Hamid, where a marriage function was held on Sunday night. The intruders went into a room where they shot dead both the brothers as well as cousins Azhar and Amanat.

The assailants fled the scene soon after the incident.

Cantt police and Rescue 1122 officials shifted the bodies to Gujranwala DHQ Hospital for autopsy.

Police have registered a case against nine nominated and six unidentified suspects on the report of Kausar Bano, an aunt of the deceased.

Initial police investigation revealed Shahid had hired the shooters to eliminate his brothers over ownership of the same house where the incident occurred.

KILLING OVER QUARREL: Police claim to have arrested on Monday the two teenagers, who shot a 13-year-old boy dead, allegedly over a quarrel occurring among them a couple of days back at Peenakha village in Qila Deedar Singh police precincts in Gujranwala district.

As per police, Zubair Warraich (14) and Subhan Warraich (15), along with two others, had picked 13-year-old Muhammad Musa from his house on Sunday afternoon and took him to a deserted place near the village, where they allegedly shot him dead and fled the scene.

The victim’s family and police launched a search that ended in recovery of the boy’s body that was shifted to the Gujranwala DHQ Hospital.

A team of the Punjab Forensic Science Agency collected evidence.

The police have registered a case against three nominated and an unidentified suspects under sections 302 and 34 of PPC on the report of victim’s father Afzal.

A spokesman for Gujranwala police says suspects Zubair and Subhan had been taken into custody and were being interrogated, whereas raids are being conducted to arrest their two accomplices.

He said the suspects, who too are in their early teens, had quarrelled with the victim a few days ago and nurtured a grudge against him.

BRUTAL MURDER: The body of a 12-year-old boy, who had been missing for four days, was found in Sheikh Rajada village within the Gujranwala Saddar police jurisdiction on Monday.

According to reports, the police registered a kidnap case on Friday and detained three suspects who later confessed to killing the boy after raping him. They dumped the body in the village fields.

On Monday, the police recovered the body based on the suspects’ identification.

The boy’s family and locals staged a protest, accusing the suspects of having issued death threats to the family prior to the incident.

A police spokesperson said the body had been shifted to Gujranwala DHQ Hospital.

City Police Officer Rana Ayaz Saleem formed a special investigation team under Gujranwala Civil Lines SP to probe the case.
