Regi police station attacked with rockets

PESHAWAR: Miscreants attacked the Regi Model Town police station here with rockets late Sunday night.

Officials said unknown miscreants fired two rockets at the police station, which exploded outside the building, damaging its outer wall.

They said the personnel deputed at the police station retaliated to the firing, forcing the miscreants to flee taking advantage of darkness.

The police cordoned off the area and started a search for the fleeing suspects.

Capital City Police Officer Qasim Ali Khan visited the police station on Monday and reviewed the security arrangements there. He said all the available resources would be utilised to maintain law and order situation.

He said the police department would not compromise on the peace in the city, according to a statement.
