ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa directed relevant teams on Monday to accelerate construction of Islamabad Model Jail, ensuring that the project remains on track for early completion.

Mr Randhawa made these remarks while chairing a meeting on the long-delayed jail project. The session was attended by the Project Director of the Public Works Department (PWD) and officers from both the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and PWD.

According to a press release, the meeting discussed modalities of a smooth transition of the construction work on the Islamabad Model Jail from PWD to CDA.

Mr Randhawa emphasised that until the transition is fully completed, PWD should work in coordination with the CDA to ensure seamless progress of the project.
