CHARSADDA: A man and his three sons were shot dead by rivals over an old enmity in Kottak area of Shabqadar tehsil here on Thursday.

Jawad son of deceased Fanus registered an FIR in Battagram police station against the accused. He reported that he along with his father Fanus Khan of Kot Jalhar area and brothers Hazrat Bilal, Inamullah, and Baitullah were returning to their village in a rickshaw after appearance in a case in Peshawar High Court when accused Majid and his sons Nizam and Musawwar opened indiscriminate fire on them in Kottak area.

He said as a result, his father Fanus and brothers Hazrat Bilal, Inamullah, and Baitullah died on the spot, while he (Jawad) narrowly escaped while rickshaw driver Saheedullah also got serious injuries and was shifted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar in precarious condition.

The bodies were shifted to THQ Hospital Shabqadar for autopsy. The police personnel reached the spot, collected evidence and started a search for the accused. The police said that the accused Majid had an old enmity with his brother Fanus. Battagram police have registered a case and started investigation.
