DADU: A woman and a man died and three other persons suffered injuries when a car’s cylinder exploded when gas was being filled in it at a CNG filling station in Nooriabad on M-9 Motorway on Sunday.

Jamshoro SSP Mohammad Saddiq said that the car was coming from Karachi and was headed for Hyderabad when it made a stopover at Kohistan CNG pump to refill its tank. He said the explosion occurred due to some fault in the cylinder, causing instant death of 30-year-old car occupant, Syed Asma, who was an employee of Pakistan Rangers, and a worker at the filling station, Arbab Unnar.

The injured Arbab Palari, Khalid Palari and Omar Palari were shifted to a hospital in Nooriabad, he said
