LAHORE: The 61st National badminton championship kicked off here at the Wapda Sports Complex on Tuesday, featuring action in men’s singles qualifying round and pre-quarterfinals, and women’s quarter-finals of the team event.

In the men’s team event, Police, Railways, New Khan and SNGPL won their respective matches to move into the last eight.

On the women’s side, Army, Sindh and Punjab recorded wins in the team event matches to move into the next stage.
