LAHORE: The Pakistan squad on Wednesday reached Nepal to participate in the Asian Rugby Sevens Trophy in Kathmandu.

According to the details issued by the Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), the 15-member squad, which left Lahore in the morning, will participate in the two-day Asian event featuring teams from 14 countries including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Uzbekistan.

Van Drotterludoch Hermans of South Africa is Pakistan’s lead coach, Manan Naseem is the team manager while Mohammad bin Zia is the physio.

The Pakistani squad will return to Lahore on Oct 7.

Team: Syed Hussam Haider, Ammar Abbas, Fahad Khizr, Danish Ali, Halid Hussain Bhatti, Tuqeer Ali, Wasim Abbas, Muhammad Afzal, Anjum Sajjad, Khurram Shehzad, Muhammad Mudassar, Ahmed Wasim Akram.
