40 judicial officers transferred, posted

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum on Friday approved transfer and posting orders of 40 judicial officers in Punjab.

According to the notifications, transfer orders have been issued for 16 district and sessions judges (D&SJs) and 25 civil judges. Of them, services of 10 D&SJs have been given to the federal government for posting in various banking courts.

Three D&SJs have been transferred to central courts in different districts to serve as special judges under the federal government.

Additionally, services of two D&SJs have been placed under the control of the federal government for their posting to accountability courts in Lahore and Rawalpindi.

A notification has also been issued for posting of a D&SJ as an officer on special duty.
