LAHORE: A car owner was handed down a fine slip of Rs44,500 after making ‘a century of traffic violations’ in the city.

Caught on The Mall, the car owner paid the fine on the spot when the traffic warden showed him the pictures of 103 violations he had committed while driving on various city roads,the spokesperson for the Lahore traffic police says.

He says the driver was informed that he had violated traffic signals 61 times, lane violation 35 times.

He says the car driver is a student who also drove rashly six times, besides using mobile phone while driving.

The spokesperson says most violations were committed by the driver on The Mall, Jail Road, Main Boulevard, Gulberg, Ferozepur Road and Wahdat Road, but he never bothered to pay the fine despite issuance of e-challan.
