LAHORE: The operation of Lahore Metro Bus Service was partially suspended on Saturday in a bid to protect the mass transit installations from the possible attack of the people protesting under the banner of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

According to official sources in the Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA), the metro bus operation was squeezed to MAO College from Gajjuamata on Saturday afternoon.

“The operation of metro bus from MAO College to Shahdara was suspended following directions from the government authorities concerned,” said Mr Uzar Shah, PMA General Manager (Operations) while talking to Dawn.

However, he said the Lahore Orange Line Train remained operational throughout the day without any issue.
