GUJRAT: The body of a 22-year-old youth, who went missing on Friday, was found hanging from a tree in a deserted place near Dilawarpur village of Kakarali police precincts on Saturday.

Reports said Mohsin Nawaz of Ghurera village had gone outside on his motorbike to bring kerosene oil for cooking from a shop and he did not return home. The family later launched a search in the area and also informed the police. However on Saturday, the locals spotted the body of Mohsin hanging from a tree in the neighbouring village.

Police and Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and shifted the body to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital where doctors conducted the autopsy. A team of Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) also collected evidence from the crime scene.

The deceased’s father, Muhammad Nawaz, alleged that Mohsin had been murdered by two people of Gurera village who had some clash with the deceased.

Police have registered a case against two nominated suspects Moazzam Azam and Haseeb Gujjar under section 302 and 34 of Pakistan Penal Code on the report of Nawaz and started investigation.
