A day earlier, the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 37.5°C degrees Celsius.
According to the Met department’s advisory, Karachi’s weather is likely to remain hot to very hot and dry over the next four to five days under the current system’s influence.
“The day-time temperature is likely to range between 38°C and 40°C with surface wind to remain northwesterly most of the time,” it says.
The maximum temperature recorded was 39°C with 36 per cent relative humidity, whereas the minimum temperature was 26°C with 70pc relative humidity.
