SHO killed in crossfire between rival groups

SUKKUR: An SHO died after he suffered a gunshot wound to his head when he led a police team to stop an armed clash between rival groups of Mahar and Jatoi clans in Qadrani Jatoi village in riverine area over an old dispute over a piece of farmland in Chak town, Shikarpur district, on Wednesday.

The SHO of Bachal Bhayo police station Suhrab Odho rushed to the area along with a police team after receiving information about the clash. He found himself in the middle of the crossfire as the groups were firing straight at each other and a bullet hit him to the head, said sources.
