SWABI: District police conducted two separate mock exercises at Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate and China Camp at Tarbela dam on Friday to ensure force’s preparedness to meet any emergency situation.

DPO Haroon Rasheed Khan said that the purpose of the mock exercises was to check the efficiency and readiness of the police force while assessing the minimum response time in an emergency situation, especially in case of a terrorist incident.

He said that the police conducted two separate mock exercises to ensure foolproof security at Al Khair foam factory in Gadoon Estate and the China camp in Tarbela dam.

It has been learnt that threats were given to Al-Khair foam factory and the police here in the district took all precautionary measures. SHO Gadoon Industrial Estate police station Asif Ali said that elite force, BDS Squad, rapid response force (RRF) commandos and Rescue 1122 participated in the mock exercises.

As soon as the sirens were sounded, heavy police contingents reached the spot and surrounded the factory and Chinese camp from all sides and the operation continued for 50 minutes.
