Two matches held in Pink Polo Cup

LAHORE: Guard Group/Zaki Farms and Diamond Paints claimed victories in the Pink Polo Cup here on Tuesday.

In the opening encounter, Guard Group/Zaki Farms, led by a four-goal performance from Ahmad Bilal Riaz, secured a convincing 12-5½ win against the Nine Polo team.

The team’s victory was further bolstered by Shah Qubilai Alam and Taimur Ali Malik, who scored three goals each, while Sofia Deen Ali Khan added two goals to the tally.

For Nine Polo, Major Adil Rao netted two goals, with Waleed Lodhi and Mahnum Faisal each contributing one. The team also benefitted from a handicap advantage of one and a half goals.

In the second match of the day, Diamond Paints outplayed Sheikhoo Steel with an identical scoreline of 12-5½.

Raja Jalal Arsalan was the star for Diamond Paints, scoring six goals. He was well supported by Mir Huzaifa Ahmed, who added five goals, and Mir Shoaib Ahmed, who chipped in with one goal. For Sheikhoo Steel, Agha Mosi Ali Khan led the charge with three goals, while Usman Aziz Anwar and Far­ooq Amin Sufi each scored one.
