TAXILA: Two siblings died while two others are in critical condition as they erroneously consumed poisonous food in Pind Bhoti village in the Wah Cantonment police area.

According to police sources, four siblings including three girls while playing in the house consumed some poisonous food item. As a result six-year-old Dua Fatima and two-year-old Ayesha Fatima died during treatment while Hadiya Fatima and Abu Bakar were shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi due to their critical condition.

Police spokesman while quoting the father of the victims has said that it seems that the children erroneously consumed wheat pills which led to their tragic death. Investigating officer Nazakat Ali has told newsmen that police are investigating the case.

Meanwhile, pall of gloom spread in the area when the bodies of two sisters were brought to their home from the hospital. Moving scenes were also observed during burial.
