LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board’s Evaluation Committee has removed 15 domestic coaches from its panel following a thorough review of their performances during the last domestic season.

Although the PCB has chosen not to publicly disclose the names of the excluded coaches, sources confirm that 15 coaches have been let go.

The Evaluation Committee, constituted in April this year, comprises PCB officials, including Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi and the department’s senior general manager Junaid Zia, as well as former Test cricketers Misbah-ul-Haq, Azhar Ali, and Asad Shafique.

Despite the new domestic season for 2024-25 already underway, the PCB plans to hire new coaches to replace those removed. In the interim, assistant coaches have been promoted to head coach positions for regional teams until new appointments are made.
