NAROWAL: A 15-year-old girl was killed after a dispute over a pigeon nest on a rooftop in Kot Arayan here on Wednesday.

Labourer Shaukat Ali told the police that his daughter Hasiba, a grade IX student, was attacked by four members of their neighbouring family. He said the suspects beat her with slaps, punches, and bricks as a result she fell unconscious. After the assault, the attackers fled the scene, leaving her critically injured.

Hasiba was rushed to DHQ Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Shaukat Ali said the attackers were angered by a request to remove a pigeon nest from their roof.

The police have registered an FIR against Noreen Bibi, Gulshan Bibi, Mian Mohsin and Mian Atif under sections 302 and 34 of PPC on the complaint of Shaukat.

DPO Mohammad Naveed has formed a team for early arrest of the suspects.

The victim’s family has appealed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and IG Dr Usman Anwar for justice.
