Police van damaged in Peshawar IED explosion

PESHAWAR: A police mobile van was slightly damaged while the personnel remained unhurt when an improvised explosive device, planted on a roadside, went off within the jurisdiction of

Shamshato police station here on Thursday, police said.

A statement issued by city police said that the mobile van came under attack in Waliabad area.

It added that senior police officers reached the spot after the area was cordoned off and a search operation was also launched.

The statement said that the bomb disposal unit was called and further investigation was under way.
