BAHAWALPUR: The office-bearers and members of the Baloch Students Council at a press conference here on Thursday complained of the denial of admissions under reserved seats at the Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) as nominated by the directorate of Balochistan.

Saqlain Baloch, a council representative, said the IUB officials had refused admissions, citing a lack of funds from both the federal and Punjab governments. He said Baloch students already enrolled at the university have yet to receive their scholarships, which were previously awarded in past years.

The council issued an ultimatum, demanding that admissions and scholarships be granted within four days. Saqlain Baloch warned that failure to meet these demands would result in a sit-in protest until their grievances are addressed.
