TOBA TEK SINGH: Faisalabad’s Tandlianwala Saddar police arrested a head constable for allegedly raping a youth in the Bahlak police jurisdiction on Friday.

The complainant from Nankana Sahib stated in his first information report that the suspect, who had prior connections with his family, lured him to an outhouse in Chak 618-GB, where he was given sedatives in milk.

As he passed out, the suspect allegedly raped him and stole Rs27,700 from his pocket.

A medical examination conducted at Tandlianwala THQ Hospital confirmed the assault.

PROTEST: Relatives of the two young boys who died after falling from the newly constructed Abdullahpur flyover staged a protest on Friday against the administration for their negligence that led to their deaths.

The protesters carried banners demanding the installation of heavy steel grills along the bridge’s shoulders.

They said the boys had fallen to their death and several others had been injured since the bridge opened to traffic just weeks ago. They temporarily blocked traffic on the flyover.

ACCIDENT: Two boys died and as many others were injured after their motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley near Basti Ismailabad on Sarai Sidhu-Pul Baggar Road in Kabirwala, Khanewal, on Thursday night.

Reports said all four boys, who were returning home from barbering training, were involved in the accident when the tractor-trolley driver suddenly made a sharp turn.

The deceased were identified as Shahbaz and Jamil and the injured as Faraz and Raees. Both injured boys were referred from Kabirwala THQ Hospital to Multan Nishter Hospital.
