Family disputes cause of death of young woman

TOBA TEK SINGH: A young woman was found dead in her home in the Razabad locality of Jaranwala, Faisalabad, on Saturday.

Her brothers say that 18-year-old Maskan Bibi, a divorcee, was upset about her future and took poison, resulting in her death.

However, the deceased’s elder sister has submitted an application to the Jaranwala City police, asking for registration of a murder case against her brothers, Idrees and Ahmad. She alleged they poisoned Muskan for honour.

The police took the custody of the body and shifted it to the THQ Hospital for an autopsy.

KILLED: A man was killed over an old enmity in Chak 70-JB, Mansooran, on Jhang Road in Faisalabad, on Saturday.

Reports said Rana Shahzad Ajmal was near a government high school in the village when his rivals opened fire. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Thikriwala police registered a case and are conducting raids to arrest the killers.

ASSAULT: The Bhussi police in Kamalia arrested a seminary teacher on Saturday for allegedly raping a child.

The complainant from Chak 723-GB stated in his FIR, registered under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code, that his son, who was learning the Holy Quran at Madrassa Ghousia in Chak 717-GB, was raped by his teacher. Doctors have confirmed the assault in the medical examination report.

DEATH: A worker died after a heavy cable roll fell on him in a factory in the Faisalabad industrial estate on Chak Jhumra Road on Saturday.

Reports said Muhammad Tajammal, 36, from Chak 139-RB, was unloading rolls from a trailer when one of the rolls fell on him. He was taken to Chak Jhumra THQ Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.

Also, in Faisalabad, one family member died and two women were seriously injured after a dumper hit their motorcycle near the dry port on Chak Jhumra Road on Friday night.

According to Rescue 1122, Bilal Ghani, 45, of Chak Nawabanwala, was riding his motorcycle with his wife, Shazia, 42, and sister-in-law Sonia, 30, when a dumper coming from the opposite direction ran over their motorcycle. Bilal died instantly, while Shazia and Sonia were taken to the Allied Hospital.

SENTENCED: A Jaranwala additional district and sessions court judge sentenced a murder case accused to death and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 on Saturday.

The prosecution stated that convict Ghulam Yasin and his three accomplices shot dead Abdullah over a farmland dispute during an attack in 2021 while the deceased was traveling in a rickshaw.

The court acquitted three co-accused granting them the benefit of the doubt.

ARRESTED: Faisalabad’s Bahlak police arrested a man of Chak 607-GB for raping a married woman.

The complainant alleged in her FIR registered under Section 376 of PPC that she was not at home when the accused forcibly raped her daughter-in-law.
