TAXILA: Two teenage cousins were buried alive when a heap of earth collapsed on them during brick-making at a brick kiln site in Jabbi village in the limits of Fatehjang police station on Monday.

Police and Rescue 1122 sources said 12 years old Rehman Khan and his 15-year-old cousin were digging mud for making bricks at a brick kiln site when all of a sudden they were trapped under a mudslide. The locals along with Rescue 1122 retrieved the two and much effort and shifted them to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Fatehjang police are investigating the case.

Meanwhile, Wah Saddar police arrested a woman drug peddler on Monday and recovered narcotics from her possession.

According to a police spokesperson, Station House Officer Sub-Inspector Mohsin Shah along with a team raided the drugs den of the woman and recovered 1.6kg hashish.

The woman was a member of an intercity racket of narcotics suppliers, the spokesperson said.
