QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti hailed the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amend­ment as major win for democracy.

In a statement issued on Monday, he congratulated PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and all coalition parties, describing the amendment as a significant step towards fair representation for all four provinces.

CM Bugti praised the collective efforts of the entire political leadership in reaching a consensus on this crucial amendment, highlighting that it is a great victory for democracy that strengthens the representative parliament.

He said the nation deserves congratulations on this achievement, marking the beginning of a bright chapter in the country’s democratic history and ensuring greater transparency and merit in the years to come.
