Thunderbolts assemble in teaser for Marvel film

Marvel Entertainment gave a glimpse of the new film Thunderbolts, with a teaser trailer for the movie featuring Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Sebastian Stan.

Thunderbolts is a superhero film based on Marvel Comics characters, the titular Thunderbolts, a team of misfit antiheroes who go on missions for the US government.

Pugh stars as Yelena Belova, with Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, aka Red Guardian, Stan as Bucky Barnes, aka Winter Soldier, etc.

The film opens in theatres in May 2025.

MCU Iron Spider costume debuts in Spider-Man comic

Ultimate Spider-Man #9 introduces the Iron Spider costume from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the Ultimate Universe. Originally seen in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, the fan-favourite suit makes its ultimate debut as Spider-Man, Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus work on upgrading their suits.

Although Peter Parker ultimately rejects the Iron Spider suit in favour of spandex, the new Ultimate Spider-Man series is part of Marvel’s line-wide reboot of the Ultimate Universe. The issue concludes with Spider-Man and Green Goblin facing off against a member of the Sinister Six. Ultimate Spider-Man #9 is available now.

Green Lantern and Green Arrow team-up

DC Comics has revealed the return of the iconic Green Lantern and Green Arrow duo in a new one-shot, Green Lantern/Green Arrow: World’s Finest Special #1, set to release on December 18, 2024.

Written by Jeremy Adams with art by Lucas Meyer and Travis Mercer, the comic will bring Hal Jordan (Green Lantern) and Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) together in an all-new adventure. The story continues the legacy of the beloved “Hard Travelin’ Heroes” run by Dennis O’Neil and Neal Adams.

The plot follows the two heroes at a crossroads, forced to team up to face a mysterious bounty hunter, Deathstroke the Terminator. Additionally, Jeremy Adams returns with a story featuring Barry Allen (The Flash), weaving a complex tale set on the road to a new crisis.
