RAWALPINDI: Two schoolgirls were killed, while 12 other students were injured when their school van plunged into a ravine in Kotli Sattian on Thursday.

Police said a van carrying school girls plunged into a ravine near Malot Sattian. As a result, two girls were killed while 12 others were injured.

The injured trapped in the wreckage of the van were pulled out by the villagers and shifted to a nearby rural health centre and later to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Meanwhile, a married woman was found murdered in her house in the Damial area, police said.

Nasir Maqbool, a resident of Taxila, lodged an FIR with the police saying that he received a WhatsApp message from Qasim Pervez saying that he had killed his sister.

On receiving the message, he came to his sister’s house and found her body lying in the washroom of the house. He said that she had been strangled with a piece of rope which was found fastening around her neck.

He said that his sister was strangled allegedly by Qasim in connivance with his brother, the FIR said.
