DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rajanpur police claimed on Saturday to have recovered a youth who had been kidnapped for Rs20 million a week back.

In a swift operation, police rescued 20-year-old Saqlain, son of Ghulam Shabir, who had been abducted a week earlier from Mohammadpur Mauza Qanbar Shah. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs20m from his family.

A special team, led by the Mohammadpur station house officer and formed by DPO Dost Mohammad, tracked down the suspects using advanced technology. The team conducted a successful raid on the kidnappers’ hideout and recovered the hostage safely.

Although the suspects managed to flee, a search operation is ongoing.
