LAHORE: A team from the Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) disconnected power to the Zoo Safari Park on Raiwind Road on Saturday due to unpaid bills totaling nearly Rs5 million.

“We issued multiple reminders for payment, but there was no response, forcing us to cut the power supply,” a Lesco spokesman stated.

SEALED: The joint enforcement teams from environment department, police and other agencies have sealed 17 factories and arrested seven people for contributing to smog.

The teams also imposed significant fines on those violating government regulations regarding the installation of equipment to enhance environmental conditions in the Ravi industrial zone.
