KASUR: Four persons died on Sunday as a container mounted on a trailer fell on a passing-by motorcycle and a car outside a paper mill on Kot Radha Kishan road.
According to Rescue 1122, a 40-foot-long container, being unloaded at the gate No. 2 of a private paper mill with the help of cranes, slipped suddenly and fell down on the bike and the car.
As a result, three men in the car, identified as Aurangzaib (40), Mukhtar (38) and Sarwar (29), besides the bike rider, Nadeem (35), were crushed to death.
On being informed of the incident, officials of Rescue 1122 and police reached the scene and took out the bodies after removing the heavy container. The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy and started probing the matter.
