GUJAR KHAN: Six people, including a woman, were seriously wounded during an armed clash between two parties over a land dispute in the limits of Domeli police station in Sohawa tehsil on Sunday.

According to the FIR lodged on the complaint of Mohammad Shamrez, there was a land dispute between his maternal uncle, Mohammad Siddique, with Kabeer, a resident of Padhri village.

A stay order was obtained from a local court for the disputed land. He said Kabeer along with around two dozen men armed with weapons and batons started ploughing the land with four tractors.

Shamrez alleged that when they reached the spot and tried to stop them from ploughing the land, Kabeer’s men opened indiscriminate fire on them.

The suspects fled from the scene after other villagers arrived.
