PESHAWAR: Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour group led all associate class candidates to a sweeping victory over their opponents in the 2024-26 executive committee elections for the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI).

According to a press release issued here on Monday, polling for the elections was held in the chamber. The election commission notified that the candidates for the corporate group of the aforementioned group, including Humam Hassan, Nasreen Bilour, Najia Shiraz, Hina Saqib, Shamama Arbab, Rabil Riaz, and Barikhna Liaquat, were already elected without opposition because no other candidate had filed nomination papers against them. In contrast, the final results confirmed that the candidates for the associate group, Zara Basri, Zara Imtiaz, Liziza Arbab, Zareen Akhtar, Lubna Ashraf, Benazir Shaikh, and Zubia Aamir, had won with a significant majority.

Reacting to the overwhelming victory in the elections, Ghazanfar Bilour, leader of the Businessmen’s Forum, along with the leaders of Sarhad Chamber, Women Chamber, and others, praised the Businessmen’s Forum as the sole platform consistently advocating for the business community.

They stressed that the forum had always worked with dedication and without discrimination to address the challenges faced by businesswomen, and this victory was a testament to its commitment to serving women entrepreneurs and providing relief at all levels.
