PESHAWAR: Bushra Bibi, the wife of incarcerated former prime minister Imran Khan, on Monday approached the Peshawar High Court, seeking details of cases lodged against her and transit bail.

Her lawyers have submitted two separate petitions, seeking complete details of cases registered against the wife of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s founding chairman as well as transit bail in order to enable her to appear before courts. PHC would take up both the petitions on Tuesday (today).

Alam Khan Adenzai Advocate has filed both the petitions.

The petition seeking details of cases registered against Ms Khan asked the court to direct the relevant authorities to provide details of all cases registered against the spouse of the Imran Khan.

In the petition, Ms Khan stated that the federal government had lodged several cases against her; however, she was clueless about where these cases had been registered.

Ms Khan also stated that so far she had not been provided any details of cases lodged against her by the relevant authorities.

The former first lady stated that knowing about these cases was her legal right; therefore, she should be provided details of the same.

PHC Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim would take up the petition on Tuesday (today).

In the other petition, seeking transit bail, Ms Khan made the federal government and other relevant departments respondents. The petition stated that the government had registered several cases against her and she wanted to appear before the courts to seek relief.

However, the petition said that she feared arrests; therefore, she should be granted transit bail. A two-member PHC bench comprising Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Sahibzada Asadullah would take up the petition on Tuesday (today).
