RAWALPINDI: Police found a decomposed body of a man wrapped in a blanket in the limits of Sadar Bairooni police station, while another aged man was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle on Chak Beli Road on Tuesday.

Police said a decomposed body wrapped in a blanket was found lying underneath a bridge in Dhamial Kalial. The body was beyond recognition, police said.

Meanwhile, a 75-year-old man was killed after being run over by an unidentified vehicle as he was crossing Chak Beli Khan Road on Tuesday.

Police said Sabir Hussain, 75, was crossing the road after offering his Fajr prayers in a mosque when the accident occurred. The victim died on the spot while the vehicle involved in the accident sped off.
